Bimbimbab is a way to raise money and awareness for your cause through community pledges. A cause can be anything. AIDS Walk, Habitat for Humanity, or even going to the gym everyday.

Make sure you check in throughout with your Foursquare clients. Someone might like your cause and pledge a reward for you, if you reach your goal. Simple.

  • Foursquare

    Beside helping us authenticate our users, Foursquare also help us keep track of our users progress during their causes.

    • User authentication: you need to have a Foursquare account to use our site.
    • User check-ins: when you check-in your check-in information gets sent to us.
  • venmo

    Venmo

    Venmo provides a great way to make payment between friends. It is simple and easy to use :-)

    You need to have a Venmo account so others can make pledges for your cause. Do not forget to link it with your Foursquare account.

  • Twilio

    Chances are, you already heard about it. If you are a web engineer, Twilio is a web service API that is too awesome to miss out. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

    We use Twilio to send messages between our server and Venmo server. Yup, that's rocket science right there. Just don't worry about it.

Who We Are

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So without further ado, below is our team picture. We took it on the Hackathon Day, around 6pm on Sep 17th, 2011. A great and fun experience overall... and did we mention that we WON the best API Mashups too? We thus pledge to eat better lunch from now on.
